Just Magnolia #23

Today's card is for Just Magnolia which is a fabulous sketch by the very talented Bev.  I loved this sketch.  I do like simple as there seems to be more room for movement!

Okay now this is where I've been a bit naughty as these are new papers!  I really like this card as the colours in the papers are not always what I would use together but they are great.  I will be using these papers up!!  I also was trying to get this finished up before last night's X Factor.  I was going to put a few more embellishments on it but just didn't get a chance before I need to clear away.

1 Card, 4 Challenges!

Today's card I've managed to enter into FOUR challenges!! I always look at the challenge blogs and see if I can group a one together with a sketch.  I managed to group three with a sketch today.  I think that's the most challenges I've entered one card into, it would have been five if I had used different papers.  Serves me right for not concentrating.

So the four challenges I've entered are: Sketch Saturday, Anyone for Anya (funky flowers), Secret Crafter (one for the girls) and Cupcake Craft Challenges (pearls and swirls).

I'm still using up my Wild Raspberry papers (I hope you are not bored of look at the same papers!!). I still have loads left!  The image was coloured using promarkers and it was one I'd found in a little pile of images I'd stamped and coloured ages ago.

Friday Sketchers #70

It's Sunday and now tomorrow I have to go back to work.  Where do the weekends actually go???

Here's my card for Friday Sketchers.  I've pulled an old Basic Grey pad out again to use some of it up.  Didn't use much but hey-ho!  I've coloured the image with promarkers again.  I've still not got round to using the copics I bought last week!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #48

It's Saturday once again and I'm sat watching the X Factor.  How good was that guy from Chicago?  This some great talent in this year's show.  Not very happy that Strictly is on at the same time!  I keep quickly flicking over to see what is happening but it's not the same.

Here's my card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge.  It was a fabulous sketch by Heather.  Yes I'm using up my old papers again.  This time I pulled out some Basic Grey papers.  I coloured the image using promarkers, including a couple of the new ones.  Must get me some of those!!

Whiff of Joy #47

Here's my entry for the Whiff of Joy Challenge which was to use the colours Teal and Orange.  It was a bit of a last minute rush to get it finished but as I had coloured the image in a couple of days ago I wanted to get it done and uploaded.  I used promarkers to colour the image and used some old MME papers - again!

Sketch Saturday DT Call

Here's my card for the Sketch Saturday DT call.  I've entered DT calls before and never been successful but I don't let it get me down, I will keep trying and one day hopefully I will be!  I love how this turned out in the end.

I've used a stamp that I've had for ages and never used, Flutter Anya by The Greeting Farm.  I've coloured it using promarkers and used some more of my fave papers from K&Co.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #10 and Cute Card Thursday #77

Its my friend's daughter's first birthday on Saturday.  I can't quite believe it was a year ago she was born, that means that it's a year ago since I was in sunny Florida!  I even remember where I was when I got the text message letting me know that she had arrived safely!
The card was made using a lovely gorjuss girl coloured with promarkers.  It's being entered into two challenges, the first being Sunday Sketch and Stamp which is a perfect sketch for this image!  The second is for Cute Card Thursday which is to use the colours pink and green.  I've been good again using up old papers! I personalised it as it is a special card!

Friday Sketchers #68

This is a card I made for Friday Sketchers.  It was made for my friend Lyndsey and her fiancee, Sean.  They recently got engaged.  So Lyndsey if you are reading this - big congratulations again!!!
I used papers which I have had for a while, and to be honest I'd forgotten about them and found them in a pile of others!  It's also the first time I have used this stamp and I've had it absolutely ages!! Isn't that just so bad!!  I used promarkers to colour the image once again.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #18

Yesterday was such a sad day.  It was the funeral of my uncle David.  It hadn't really sunk in until yesterday.  We didn't see much of him over the past few years since he was first diagnosed with cancer.  Before then he was a window cleaner in town and I used to see him more or less daily.  I'd always stop and talk, even if it was just to shout "you've missed a bit" at him.  He had been in remission until very recently, unfortunately this time it had got hold of his lungs and kidneys and there was nothing they could do.  Now I'd held it together very well, until after the burial that was. I went to see the flowers and I saw the ones from myself and a couple of my cousins.  My cousin had come up with a lovely message from us and just seeing what she had said, it hit me, he was gone.  I can't remember the exact words but it was something about him now being with nan, grandad, my other uncle (his brother who died very young) and my cousin (his son).  Although I looked at all the other flowers, I just couldn't read the cards as it would just set me off again.
Anyway on to happier things and a card!
I loved the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl.  I do like using lots of layers! I love how this card turned out.  I didn't add a sentiment to this card as I like to make a few cards without and add them to my box in case somebody needs a card last minute and I have nothing already made with sentiments suitable.  Again I used up some old papers and I still have a bit left!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #46

Here's my card for the WoJ Challenge. A fab sketch by the wonderfully talented Bev.  I used my fave papers from K&Co.  I'm trying to use as much as I can of my old papers before I buy anymore.  It's going far!  I used my promarkers to colour the image in.  I'm really pleased that they are bringing out some new colours, although I have not got all of the others yet!
