Sketch Saturday #59

Here's the card I made for my mum. I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and gave it my own twist. I used my new summer kit stamps from Magnolia again and used promarkers to colour her.

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking time to comment. I really enjoy reading your comments - they are much appreciated. I must make time to visit some blogs and leave some love!

Friday Sketchers #60

You will all think I've done a runner from here soon! Okay I've had a couple of very good excuses. It was my mum's birthday on Sunday and it was mine and my dad's yesterday. See I said I had a good excuse!

Here's the card I made for my mum's birthday for my dad to give to her using the fab sketch from Friday Sketchers. As it was a special card for someone special I even concentrated on decorating the inside too which is something I wouldn't normally do. It took sometime to do but I love it. I used my new Magnolia summer kit stamps coloured using promarkers again.

The Sugar Bowl #14

I received my Magnolia Summer kit earlier this week. I thought I hadn't ordered it so that was a bit of a surprise when I opened it! Having inked them up and started to colour a couple in. You will be seeing them on a card shortly!

This card is for The Sugar Bowl. What a fantastic sketch! Loved it. Again I used one of my new gorjuss girls, which I can't get enough of. My bit of sparkle is the gem brad, do the pearls count too?

Friday Sketchers #59 & The Next Level

Well....what can I say about Friday and the Take That concert? WOW! It was an absolutely amzing show. As my mum put it, it was out of this world! There was so much going on apart from Take That singing (and dancing and dropping their trousers!). We were lucky to get there pretty early and get a seat. I don't think my little back could have taken five hours of standing! We had a fab view of both stages. It was the best show I had ever seen and to see it at Wembley with 80,000 other people was fantastic. The highlight had to be the elephant being moved by the dancers. The atmosphere was electric and the noise just rumbled round the stadium. Plus it was being filmed for the DVD! I need to sort through my photos and I will try and post a couple of the best - although they look like ants on stage!

On to a card which I have whipped up tonight. Used my new gorjuss girls. I think this set is the best so far. I love the fairy one. Again I coloured it in using promarkers which I have well and truly fallen in love with. I just need to practise a bit more and try not to go out the lines! This card is for Friday Sketchers. A very nice sketch to work with. I've also entered into The Next Level which was buttons and bows.

Just Magnolia #11

Tomorrow I'm off to Wembley Stadium to see Take That. I am so excited you wouldn't believe! They have been my fave band since I was 11 years old and I'll soon be 29! I've heard, read and seen so much good stuff about the show so I'm really looking forward to it and hope it blows my expectations right out of the water! I'm not looking forward to the travelling down there though. I'm sure I'll be back on Saturday full of it!

This card is for the Just Magnolia challenge. It was a fantastic sketch by Bev. It was a dream to work with - so easy the card just "fell" together. I love the colours and the papers. Again I have used my promarkers. I love these, so much so I ordered a few more. I just realised this isn't the best photo. Sorry.
