My Time to Craft #73

This week's challenge over at My Time to Craft is "brown and blue".  So, here's my card.  I used SU stash again with those Trendy Trees, sorry but I do like them!!

I saw a card on a blog (sorry I can't remember which) and I more or less case'd this card that I saw.  It was lovely however I turned it around a little and added some images on the paper.  Such a simple layout but I like simple some times!

Supplies: All SU.  Trendy Trees, Chocolate Chip ribbon, Bashful Blue DSP, A Bit of Birthday Cheer, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip ink, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip cardstock.

My Time to Craft #72

It's the last challenge of 2009 over at My Time to Craft and the theme is "anything goes".  I made this card on Christmas Eve when I had some time to spare although I didn't photograph it until yesterday as I wanted to use my new toy.

I used all Stampin Up goodies again.  I used my new Bella Bleu papers together with Not Quite Navy and Kraft card.  I also used my fave stamps, Pocket Silhouttes.

Supplies: Pocket Silhouettes, A Bit of Birthday Cheer, Bella Bleu DP, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White and Kraft card, Not Quite Navy ink, Eyelet Border punch.

Bad blogger & Papertake Weekly Sketch #22

I know, I know, there are no excuses! To be honest over the past few weeks I've been using some of my stampin up stash. It was great to get back to it. It was what I needed, a break from Magnolias, Gorjuss girls and all the other stamps. I got to the point where I just sat and stared at an image and didn't know what to do anymore! Plus there are more and more challenge blogs and I felt I needed to make more and more cards to enter them all. Also I seem to spend more and more £'s as I want every stamp, bit of paper and embellishment that I see and I don't when using SU! I need to start buying things I really really need rather than wanting everything I see.

Anyway on Friday the new Magnolia fall kit popped through the letterbox. I was surprised as I had forgotten all about it. It got me excited about inking up again. I couldn't wait to get them mounted and inked. I love the chef Tilda and Edwins, perfect for when my cousin's son (and his girlfriend) finishes his chef's course at college or his birthday next year. I had a look at the challenges and settled up for the sketch on Papertake Weekly. Perfect, just some simple layers and a few embellishments.

Here's my card:

For fun

I mentioned that a couple of weekends ago my crafting buddy Lyndsey came to play. I'm finally getting round to show off the four cards I made. Please visit Lyndsey's blog and show her some crafting love. I stamped out the same four images for us both to use to see what we would come up with and we both used the same papers.

How Gorjuss!

My blog has had a 'gorjuss' makeover. I have fell well and truly in love with these little darlings!

Here are a couple of 'gorjuss' creations. I've spent ages colouring these little girls in so I thought it would be best to make a couple of cards with them!

Both cards are non challenge cards for a change! The first I have used some lovely MME papers I picked up from Sir Stampalot on Saturday. They had a whole bunch of new papers in. I have gone back to using my watercolours again.

Supplies:
Image - Gorguss Girls by Sugar Nellie
Sentiment - Stampin Up
Papers - My Minds Eye
Other - Flowers, brads and pearls from my stash

The second card is using no patterned paper whatsoever. A bit of a first for me but I love it! Used lots of ink and distressing and my fave colour combo - black and pink. Again coloured the image with watercolours.

Sentiment - Debbie Moore
Other - Flowers, pearls and brad from my stash

Sketch Saturday #39

I made this card last weekend and forgot about it using the lovely sketch from Sketch Saturday. I used another fab image from Whiff of Joy and those gorgeous Basic grey papers. I reverted back to my ever faithful watercolours! I was missing them!

Supplies:
Image - Whiff of Joy
Sentiment - Stampin Up
Paper - Basic Grey
Other - Flowers, brads, ribbon and punched flowers from stash

I received a GORJUSS delivery yesterday!! I have been playing with them ever since. I made a card earlier tonight and I will show it as soon as I can! I probably won't be around much. I'm off to race night tomorrow with some friends and then at the weekend we are helping a friend move into his new house! I have Monday off next week, we have gone on a four day week for a couple of months so I'm hoping to have a little craft time!

Truly Scrumptious meets Cute Card Thursday

One card, two challenges.

The first a fantastic sketch for the new challenge blog, Truly Scrumptious. I dug out some old never before used Basic Grey papers. Used another of the new stamps from Whiff of Joy. I coloured the image using my ever faithful watercolour pencils.

The second is for Cute Card Thursday which is "signs of spring". I think the papers are lovely fresh spring colours and I think the image matches quite well!

Supplies:

Sentiment - Stampin Up
Papers - Basic Grey
Other - Ribbon, flower and brad from my stash
