1 Card, 5 Challenges

So today I sat down to do some stamping.  On a Saturday I always look through the challenges and see what's around.  There are just so many challenge blogs out there I see what can be combined.  So this card is for fivechallenges, I could have entered into at least eight!  But I thought I would save that for a few more cards.  So, the five challenges are:-

1.  Sketch & Stash Challenge - Sketch
2.  Papertake Weekly - Christmas Crackers
3.  Whiff of Joy - Christmas
4.  Cute Card Thursday - Boys card
5.  A Spoon Full of Sugar - Brown plus blue or pink

I used a stamp from the Whiff of Joy winter kit that I hadn't inked up together with those lovely MME papers again.

Supplies: Whiff of Joy Stamp, Daisy & Dandelion Sentiment Stamp; MME papers; Snowflake punches; gems; brown chalk ink, Stampin' Up! eyelet punch

Cute Card Thursday #81

I had made this card just because, for no reason, no challenge.  However I noticed that it fits into Cute Card Thursday which was to make a card with a charm.  Ta-da! I'd actually made one with a charm.  So I have decided to enter this into the challenge.  I dug out an old stamp and coloured it with Promarkers and used some more of the old Cosmo Cricket papers.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #10 and Cute Card Thursday #77

Its my friend's daughter's first birthday on Saturday.  I can't quite believe it was a year ago she was born, that means that it's a year ago since I was in sunny Florida!  I even remember where I was when I got the text message letting me know that she had arrived safely!
The card was made using a lovely gorjuss girl coloured with promarkers.  It's being entered into two challenges, the first being Sunday Sketch and Stamp which is a perfect sketch for this image!  The second is for Cute Card Thursday which is to use the colours pink and green.  I've been good again using up old papers! I personalised it as it is a special card!

Letters - Thickers by American Crafts

Truly Scrumptious meets Cute Card Thursday

One card, two challenges.

The first a fantastic sketch for the new challenge blog, Truly Scrumptious. I dug out some old never before used Basic Grey papers. Used another of the new stamps from Whiff of Joy. I coloured the image using my ever faithful watercolour pencils.

The second is for Cute Card Thursday which is "signs of spring". I think the papers are lovely fresh spring colours and I think the image matches quite well!

Supplies:

Sentiment - Stampin Up
Papers - Basic Grey
Other - Ribbon, flower and brad from my stash

Cute Card Thursday #47, Sketch Saturday #38 and Friday Sketchers #39

So you've waited a week for a card and three come along at once! I've been storing them up!

The first is for Cute Card Thursday which was 'music and dance'. This little image of Edwin strumming on his guitar was perfect. Dug out some old papers and used those prismas again!

Supplies:
Image - Magnolia
Papers - Basic Grey
Sentiment - stamp unknown
Other - buttons from stash

The second card is made for Sketch Saturday. It was such a nice sketch to work with and I am sure if I am stuck, this will get used again. Don't you just love Tilda and Edwin in this?? It's so cute. Again dug out some old papers and used my prismas again.

Supplies:
Images - Magnolia
Papers - K & Co
Sentiment - Stampin Up!
Other - punched flowers and brads from stash
The third and final card for today was made for the Friday Sketchers. I love the colours I've used - bright and cheery. This has to be one of my fave Tilda stamps. Again I've dug out some papers and coloured with my prismas. They are certainly getting a work out and I'm about now getting used to them! I do miss my watercolours though.
Supplies:
Image - Magnolia
Papers - Daisy Bucket
Sentiment - Stampin Up!
Other - punched flowers and brads from stash
Ok I'm now off to watch the rest of the Brits. Coldplay are on at the moment and I have to say they sound great (I love that song!) but personally I can't wait to see Take That as I have loved those boys (sorry men!) since I was 12 years old! But how fantastic does Kylie look at 40?? Wow! What an amazing woman. And James Cordon and Mat Horne?? They are hilarious!

Cute Card Thursday #46, Stamp Something and Friday Sketchers #38

A 3 in 1 card today. I made this Friday afternoon as we were sent home from work early because of the snow! Very unusual for them to shut the whole office however it didn't seem very fair that those that live out of town could go and us that live in town had to work so they had no choice! What was funny is that by the time we left it had stopped snowing, we all made a quick dash before they changed their minds! At least I had time to do something useful!

So, this card is for Cute Card Thursday which was "metallica". I have used metal heart brads. Stamp Something which was something for valentines and Friday Sketchers which was a fab sketch. I enjoyed making this card mainly because I should have been at work! I used my new Tilda and coloured her with prismas. I'm starting to get a little better with them! Dug out my fave papers again.

Papers - Daisy Bucket
Others - Flowers and brads from my own stash

Been quiet

I've been a bit quiet for the past week. I've been trying to get some more Christmas cards made. I still have around a dozen more to do. I really need to get a shift on!

Here are a few cards that I have made.

The first is using an old sketch from Papertake Weekly and one of my fave cards I have made in the last few days. I have once again used those delish papers from K&Co. The scallop border is using the ever-so-fab SU punch and the scalloped oval and circles are the very useful nestabilities. I really want to get my hand on the rest that I need and of course the very new labels which are gorgeous! I have also entered this card into the Cute Card Thursday challenge which was to use punches.

Supplies:
Stamp: Magnolia
Sentiment: Papermania
Paper: K&Co - Peppermint Twist
Other: Punched snowflakes, flowers and brads

The second card is a twist on an old sketch from Friday Sketchers. I have a notepad that I joy sketches down for future reference and it is becoming very useful when trying to overcome lost mojo. Again I have used those papers! My trusty cuttlebug was used to emboss the snowflakes on the white oval which was cut using nesties as well as the scalloped oval. I have also glittered the snow on the bench.

Supplies:
Stamp: Magnolia
Sentiment: Studio G
Paper: K&Co - Peppermint Twist
Other: Punched snowflakes, flowers and brads

The last card was using my own sketch. Not only do I use the notepad for sketches from challenge blogs etc but if something pops into my head that I could use it goes in there to for the future! This is a card I gave to my friend Lyndsey. I had to make her one especially because she had seen all the others! This card I also entered into the This Thursday challenge which was to make a naughty or nice card. I thought this would be a nice card - the candy cane and gifts. The candy cane is nice to eat and the gifts nice to give and receive!

Supplies:
Stamp: Magnolia
Paper: DCVW - Christmas Wishes
Other: Punched snowflakes, flowers and brads

All the images were coloured using Derwent watercolour pencils. I splashed out last week on some promarkers. Unfortunately I just cannot get used to using them. I don't seem to be able to get the shading right. I'm going to persevere at the moment and keep practising with them. I might invest on a few more colours, light and dark to see if that makes a difference. If not I might sell what I have and put the money towards some prismas!
